FAQ's

Jumping into a new workout class can be daunting! I have listed a few common questions and answers on BungeeFit, Barre and Yoga Trapeze to help you find your feet before you book. If you have any specific queries or concerns, please get in touch via the form at the bottom of the page.

  • Do I need to have done a lot of yoga to try Yoga trapeze ?
No, aerial yoga is different from mat based yoga. We work on strength and flexibility like in a yoga class but you do not need any yoga experience to give it a go.
  • What class should I attend ?
Our classes are suitable for all levels. The class descriptions will give a good idea of what to expect in class.
  • Are there any age limits ?
No, our classes are open to all!, however we do need to know your size as we need to make sure that the correct size for the harness is available when booking, If you are unsure, feel free to contact us to arrange an equipment try-on before booking your class
  • What should I wear ?
For bungee fit recommend you wear leggings, with cycling shorts over the top (superhero style!). This is not a fashion statement, but it will provide the greatest comfort from your nether regions. You can wear jogging bottoms, but you may get quite hot, especially in the summer months, as BungeeFit® incorporates a cardio element as well as a toning one. For Yoga Trapeze Wear something comfortable that you can move easily in. No jewellery or strong perfumes please.
  • Am I too overweight for Bungee fit ?
No, we have bungees to fit a wide range of weights. However, to insure your safety, all participants must provide an accurate weight during booking. There will also be a discrete set of scales available in the studio for you to use if necessary. Your weight will not be shared with anyone else, but will be used to insure your bungee is tailored for you.
  • Do you have a Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy. Booked sessions can be rescheduled without penalty providing a minimum of 24 hours advanced notice is given. If less than 24 hours, then the session will not be refundable or transferrable.
  • Does the Yoga Trapeze have any weight restrictions ?
The Yoga Trapeze is weight tested it to 450 lbs, but in reality, it can hold even more (up to 600 lbs).
  • What is the difference between aerial yoga and yoga trapeze?
The aerial yoga hammock is made of aerial silks and is much larger than the trapeze hammock. The trapeze hammock is made of parachute fabric and so has no stretch to it. It also has 3 sets of handles that are used along with different moves and exercises. There are some similarities between aerial yoga and yoga trapeze and some moves that are unique to each. They are both fun and will help build strength and flexibility. People often find that they can stretch better with these tools than they can on the mat.
  • Does Bungee Fit hurt?
Like all Aerial Arts, there is an element of discomfort involved in Bungee Fit. However, we have tried to minimise this as much as possible by providing you with top of the range, custom-made harnesses. Unlike some schools that use cheaper climbing harnesses, our equipment is specifically designed for Bungee Fit and thus provides support and padding in all the right places. We also highly recommend that you bring a good quality pair of cycling shorts with you, to provide extra padding for the groin area. We do have cycling shorts you can borrow, as part of the equipment setup, but most people prefer to bring their own.
  • When should I not do yoga trapeze or Bungee Fit ?
After filling our your Par-q form , if you have any recent injuries- let yourself recover in the acute stage of injury. If you have any on-going medical conditions then check with your doctor. If you are pregnant, please only come to pregnancy yoga. In yoga trapeze some of the poses are inverted and so not suitable for glaucoma or high blood pressure. If in any doubt please check with you doctor before undertaking new exercise activities.
